The second floor of the three story office building at the Duke Energy Gibson Station is a former locker room completely gutted to make way for over twenty offices, a multi-purpose gathering area for sharing ideas and group work, a conference room, a break area, toilet rooms and lockers. Transparent partitions at the perimeter offices allow the interior spaces to share in the abundance of natural light, and also encourages social interaction between workers. The playful configuration of lighting, vibrant colors, and acoustic ceiling tile clouds breaks from the traditional conformity of typical office spaces, and supports a more energetic and dynamic environment for the users.
